2,476 new COVID-19 cases in past 24 hours

Kathmandu : A total of 2,476 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

The new cases were confirmed from 9,586 PCR and 4,765 antigen tests conducted during the same period. Similarly, 27 people succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours taking the death toll from the deadly infection to 8,945.

There are currently 45,794 active cases of COVID-19 in the country. Likewise, 5,455 COVID-19 patients witnessed recovery in the same period. With this the number of recovery cases reaches 576,413. The recovery rate is at 91.3 %, according to the Ministry.
