COVID-19: 435 new cases

Kathmandu : A total of 435 people have been found infected with the corona virus in the last 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new cases were found in 10,267 sample tested across the country. The infection rate in Nepal is 17 percent.

The MoHP spokesperson Dr Sangita Kaushal Mishra said 239 more people have recovered from the infection. This takes the number of those who have recovered to 913,176. The recovery rate is 98 percent.

Similarly, spokesperson Dr Mishra said that no one died from the infection in the last 24 hours. So far, 11,601 people have died due to the infection.

The number of active cases in the country is 5,225. At present, 4,852 people are being treated in home isolation, 373 in institutional isolation, 84 in ICU and 14 in ventilator.

The districts with more than 500 infections are Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur. Similarly, Sunsari, Kaski, Banke and Kailali have more than 200 infected cases. Rasuwa, Manang, Mustang, Humla and Mugu are districts with no active case of COVID-19. Meanwhile, 246,385 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 today.
