Devghat’s policy and programme lay emphasis on agriculture and tourism

Nawalpur:  Devghat municipality has put agriculture and tourism as its prime focus in the fiscal year 2021/22. Presenting the policy and programme in the 8th municipal assembly, Devghat rural municipality chairperson Durga Bahadur Tahpa laid emphasis on agriculture and tourism for the development of Devghat.

He further said the rural municipality would implement ‘one ward, one model village programme’, ‘technical assistance for fruits’ and ‘arrangement of fertilizer, seeds, vitamin and training’ and ‘irrigation for agriculture programme’.

The rural municipality has emphasized on developing its ward-5 as a religious hub and other wards as cultural hubs. Thapa further shared that the religious sisterly relations would be promoted with the local levels of other districts having cultural and religious importance.

According to the policy and programme, Devghat would bring in necessary investment for the operation of motor boats in the Kaligandaki and Trishuli Rivers.

Devghat is making preparation to bring a budget of Rs 500 million for the fiscal year 2021/22.
