Four new school buildings built in Rasuwa

Sept 2 , Rasuwa :

Four new school buildings have been built under the School Reform Programme in the premises of Kalika Himalaya Secondary School at Kalikasthan of Kalika Rural Municipality-2 in southern part of Rasuwa district.

The four new buildings, constructed on 2,053 square feet area, has been built at a cost of over Rs 100 million in technical assistance of Asian Development Bank and in Japanese Fund for Poverty Reduction’s financial assistance. The National Reconstruction Authority’s Central Implementation Unit (Education) facilitated the construction.

According to the School Management Committee Chairman Megharaj Ghimire (Prabhakar), with the construction of modern buildings, students from the remote parts of the district could also study in the school as the new buildings can be used for residential purpose for them.

The School which has 600 students is being developed as a model school of the district. Province no 3’s Minister for Social Development Yuwaraj Dulal inaugurated the new buildings on Sunday. He reaffirmed that the provincial government was working towards ensuring quality education to the children.

According to him, the government has also aimed at reforming the schools in Rasuwa according to which each community school shall have a modern lab and adequate teachers. The new buildings could accommodate 64 students for the hostel facility.

There is a canteen and adequate space for setting up a modern lab, according to the School.
