Hotel should give glimpse of rural tourism : Minister Bhattarai

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai has instructed the office-bearers of the Tara Gaun Development Committee to work in such a way that could attract foreign tourists in rural tourism.

Inspecting the office of the committee here Friday, Minister Bhattarai directed them to construct buildings and hotels that would make tourists familiar with the country’s arts and cultures. The committee has been operating hotels in Nagarkot, Pokhara, Kakani areas.

Urging the office-bearers to seek earliest resolution of the land dispute regarding Hyatt Regency Hotel, the Minister stressed the projects that encourage running tourism enterprises in rural areas.

Similarly, Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Kedar Bahadur Adhikari appealed the hotel entrepreneurs to upgrade the hotels run by the Tara Gaun Development Committee on par with the standards of the international hotel.

Committee’s Chairperson Prahlad Neupane demanded the formation of the National Rural Tourism Development Committee in lieu of Tara Gaun Development Committee.
