Lidi landslide : Search for missing continues

Kathmandu : Nepal Army has said that a search for those missing in Lidi landslide occurred at Jugal Rural Municipality-2 in Sindhupalchowk district is ongoing.

According to Directorate of Public Relations and Information of Nepal Army, dead bodies of four women, three men, five girls and seven boys have been recovered so far with the support of security personnel and local residents. It is said that 47 military personnel are deployed din the search mission.

Likewise, Chief District Officer of Sindhupalchowk district Umesh Kumar Dhakal said that the landslide-displaced people in Lidi village have been shifted to a safer place temporarily.

He said that the affected families have been provided with sleeping materials and cooking pots, basic foodstuffs and Rs 15,000 in cash. Dhakal shared that the families of deceased ones have been provided with Rs 200,000 each in relief.
