After Whip Issued, Hetauda Declared State 3 Permanent Capital

12 Jan., Hetauda : Hetauda has been declared the permanent capital of state 3. Earlier, it was the provisional capital for the state. A meeting of the State Assembly held this morning endorsed the proposal tabled by Chief Minister Dormani Poudyal, proposing Hetauda to be designated as the permanent capital, by over a two-third majority.

In the voting, 105 votes, out of 108, were cast in the support of proposal. Meanwhile, in the meeting Sajha Bibeksheel Party leader Ramesh Poudel presented a proposal, seeking Dhulikhel of Kavre to be designated as the permanent capital and it was rejected by a supermajority as 101 members, out of 104 present in the meeting, voted against it. According to SA speaker Sanu Kumar Shrestha, the proposal was welcomed by only three members and thus was rejected.

Whip issued to vote for Hetauda and Bagmati

The parliamentary party meeting of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal has concluded here this morning. The meeting decided to issue a whip to all the parliamentary party members to vote for Hetauda as the State no.

3 capital and Bagmati as the name of the State, according to Chief Whip of the party Rameswar Phunyal. The meeting of the State Assembly is currently underway and voting on the proposal in naming the State and its capital will soon begin.
