Increase willpower of health workers, security personnel : NC suggests

30 March, Kathmandu : Nepali Congress has suggested that the government increases willpower and boost morale of health workers and security personnel at work to fight COVID-19.

Chief whip of the NC parliamentary party Bal Krishna Khand on Monday by telephone drew the attention of Minister for Health and Population Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal to transport medicines and medical appliances purchased by the government from China to all states and districts to fight the infection.

The government has been suggested to manage additional medical equipment and necessary things required for all private and government health facilities across the country to battle the virus, read a statement issued by the NC parliamentary party.

In response, Minister Dhakal said that the medicines and medical appliances purchased from China were being supplied to all seven states since Monday morning and they would be transported to all districts accordingly, it added. Additional medical appliances would arrive by April 3 and efforts were on to involve all private and government health institutions in the mission to contain the virus, he said.
