As coronavirus confirmed, four locations sealed in Nepajgunj city

1 May Nepalgunj : In its attempt to beef up surveillance and to contain the spread of coronavirus, the administration in Banke district has sealed four sites in the city of Nepalgunj.

A new case of coronavirus was confirmed on Friday. The high-level security mechanism took the decision.  The nearby areas of DSP Road, Dhambojhi, Yeklaini and Mahendra Park, which are densely populated and congested, have been sealed off, the officials said.

It is said that the infected individual was residing in a mosque in the site after the beginning of Ramzan. Prior to the lockdown order, the infected one had visited Nanpara, a neighbouring Indian city from Nepalgunj.

The doctors said that his health condition is normal.  Likewise, the specimens of the infected youth’s wife, son and others who came in contact with him would be tested. Another youth from Dhambojhi, who was living in a mosque for long, is also suspected of having coronavirus. He is kept in isolation at the Khajura-based cancer hospital, said Naresh Babu Shrestha, Public Health Officer of Health Office, Bank.
