Ministry says no admission of students until further decision

4 May Kathmandu : The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has asked all stakeholders not to enroll any students and conduct any class-based learning and teaching activities for the new academic session until further decision.

The Ministry’s latest decision comes at a time when some schools are focusing on online enrollment and classes amid the lockdown order owing to the coronavirus.  Issuing a press release today, the Ministry’s Spokesperson Dipak Sharma made such remarks as some schools have started students’ admission campaign on their own and were accepting fees from the parents in the bank accounts in the name of online classes.

Similarly, the Ministry has made it clear that no decision has been taken on the examinations of grade 10, 11 and 12 since analysis of the situation is taking place.  The Ministry has also reiterated the enforcement of the cabinet decision on exempting other fees for a month except for residence by the private schools.
