Bangladesh reports 706 new COVID-19 cases, 13 new deaths

7 May DHAKA (Xinhua) : Bangladesh reported 706 new COVID-19 cases and 13 new deaths on Thursday, making the total tally at 12,425 and total deaths at 199 respectively, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.

According to the figure reported by the DGHS under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country reached 12,425 including 706 new cases on Thursday.

“13 more people died in the last 24 hours,” it said in a statement. According to the official data, 5,867 samples were tested in the last 24 hours across Bangladesh.
