Two die of Covid-19 in Chitwan

20 Sept, Chitwan : Two coronavirus infected ones died today while receiving treatment in Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur. According to the College, a 55-year-old man from Kalika Municipality in Chitwan and a 17-year-old girl from Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City in Makawanpur succumbed to the virus.

Director of the College, Prof Dr Dayaram Lamsal, said the girl was admitted to the hospital on September 9 after she developed fever and respiratory related issues. The girl was tested positive for the virus on September 11.

Dr Lamsal said the man was also suffering for respiratory related problems and pneumonia. He was tested positive for coronavirus infection on Saturday and breathed his last today while receiving treatment at the hospital’s ICU bed. So far, 14 infected died in the hospital. Officials said that a total of 33 persons succumbed to the virus in the hospitals in Chitwan and 18 of them are the residents of Chitwan.
