Covid-19 : 1,537 Sunday new cases reported across country

27 Sept, Kathmandu : The country on Sunday recorded a total of 1,537 new cases of coronavirus infection while 885 infected ones got complete recovery from the virus, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. So far, altogether 53,898 people won the battle against the virus in the past 24 hours.

With this, the number of corona virus infected tally reached 73,394 in the country, Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam said in a daily press briefing this afternoon. He shared that the country now has altogether 19,019 active cases of coronavirus disease.

He stated that the Kathmandu Valley recorded 809 cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours including 633 in Kathmandu, 104 in Lalitpur district and 72 in Bhaktapur.

Likewise, Dr Gautam said that 8,321 individuals are in institutional isolation facilities while 10,698 individuals are in home isolation. Similarly, 10 people died of the virus in the past 24 hours including five in Kathmandu, Dr Gautam said. With the recent data, the number of coronavirus-caused deaths reached 477 in the country.
