List of Glocal 20under20 in association with Wai Wai Revealed

Kathmandu : Today, Glocal Pvt. Ltd announced the name of 20 influential Nepali teenagers who are pronounced as Glocal’s 20under20 in association with Wai Wai for the sixth edition of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero Nepal.

Glocal’s 20under20 is an umbrella title for 20 early change-makers, who are teenagers from diverse fields, stepping out to create an impact in society.

These teenagers are from various diverse fields ranging from social work, health, child rights activism, science & technology, sports, agriculture, environmental conservation, media & journalism, entrepreneurship among others as per the statement issued by Glocal Pvt. Ltd, which is a parent company of Glocal Teen Hero project working in the areas of education, entrepreneurship, and skilling.

Considering the global pandemic COVID – 19; this year the award ceremony of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero Nepal shall be hosted virtually on December 12, 2020. According to the statement, the Glocal’s 20under20 teenagers list seeks to recognize and honor exceptional teenagers from various fields.

Mr. Asish Thakur, Executive Director of Glocal Pvt. Ltd, said, “It was certainly not an easy task to select these talented teenagers who have been actively working in various fields from all over Nepal. However, we are proud to recognize these brilliantly talented teenagers who are supporting society and the nation with their initiatives.”

The selected teen’s names are as follows:

1. Abhisekh Karna, 16-year-old Technopreneur from Mahottari
2. Amit Timalsina, 17-year-old Technopreneur from Butwal
3. Ankit Mishra, an 18-year-old child right Activist from Banke
4. Dikshya Gautam, 18 year-old Child Right Activist from Kathmandu
5. Ekraj Ghimire, 18-year-old Environmentalist from Palpa
6. Grace Thapa, an 18-year-old Entrepreneur from Lalitpur
7. Laxman Poudel, a 19-year-old Innovator from Butwal
8. Mandira Shrestha, 19-year-old Health Activist from Ramechhap
9. Namrata Dahal, 17-year-old Child Right Activist from Jhapa
10. Preksha Dhami, an 18-year-old Social Activist from Kailali
11. Reet Kafle, an 18-year-old Educator from Biratnagar
12. Sanif Kandel, 18 year old Youth Activist from Rupandehi
13. Sanskriti Phuyal, 17-year-old Social Activist from Kathmandu
14. Seliya Shrestha, 15-year-old Social Activist from Jhapa
15. Subhash Sharma, 17 year old Coder from Janakpur
16. Sulav Subedi, an 18-year-old Innovator from Illam
17. Susan Sapkota, 14-year-old Environmentalist from Surkhet
18. Swaraj Sagar Pradhan, 18 year old Programmer from Lalitpur
19. Vaibhav Nahata, an 18-year-old Entrepreneur from Biratnagar
20. Youbesh Dhaubhadel, 19 year old Social Activist from Bhaktapur

These 20 young inspiring change-makers were selected by a respected jury panel through an intense selection round for the impacts they have created in society. These teenagers were selected from a pool of 604 applications from across the nation. Further the top six finalists will be announced on 25th November, 2020. The selected teenagers will be honored and awarded amid a virtual Award Gala on December 12, 2020.
