Manandhar appointed communications expert of Minister Gurung

Kathmandu : Journalist Rajendra Manandhar has been appointed as the information expert of Minister for Communications and Information Technology Parbat Gurung.

Minister Gurung, also the government spokesperson, on Thursday handed over the letter of appointment made by Council of Ministers to Manandhar.

Born in Bhimeshwor Municipality-1 in Dolakha district, Manandhar was the sub-editor in Kantipur Daily prior to this appointment. An MA in Mass Communications and Journalism, Manandhar worked as the district correspondent of ‘Gorkhapatra’ and ‘Radio Nepal’.
Manandhar received the ‘Kantipur Best Performance Award’ in 2015 from the Kantipur Publications.

Also the chairman of Dolakha Media Pvt Ltd, Manandhar bagged the National Child Laobur Journalism Award from International Labour Organization (ILO) and Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) in 2006 and National Education Award (2007) from Department of Education and FNJ.
