COVID-19: 9,841 cases of recovery and 6, 855 new cases reported in past 24 hours
Kathmandu : The country has logged 6855 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The new cases were confirmed from the 20,110 tests-19,313 PCR tests and 797 antigen tests-conducted during the same period, the Ministry shared in its routine press meet held virtually here today.
With this, the COVID-19 caseload in the country has reached 549,111 since the breakout of the flu-like infection in January, 2020. Similarly, 9,841 COVID-19 patients have enjoyed full recovery from the infection today which takes total recovery numbers to 428,670 till date. The recovery rate stands at 78.1 per cent.
Likewise, 96 people succumbed to the deadly infection today, the Ministry said. This takes COVID-19 fatality caseload to 7,047 as of now. Among the infected ones across the country, 113,394 patients were availing treatment in isolation facilities while 809 were quarantined. As of now, PCR tests have been conducted on a total of 3,017,377 people suspected to have contracted the COVID-19.
