Bibeksheel Sajha Party leader Thapa no more
Kathmandu : Bibeksheel Sajha Party leader Ujjawal Thapa passed away today. The 44-year-old leader, who had been hospitalized after testing positive to COVID-19, breathed his last at 4:25 pm today at the Mediciti Hospital.
Although undergoing treatment due to fragile health, he had tested negative in the last test for COVID-19, according to the press statement issues by his family and well-wishers.
The statement reads, “We are hopeful that his long-standing efforts and positive interventions aimed at reforming the political system of Nepal, the differences made in the lives of people by Thapa, the continuous encouragement to include youth in the mainstream politics among others will be evaluated by the history and will be remembered for a long time.”
The statement issued by the Party’s President Rabindra Mishra and coordinator Milan Pandey also urged late Thapa’s fans, well-wishers and party’s activities to consider tree plantation on the 13th Memorial Day of late Thapa.
On that day, discussions will be held to highlight the contributions made by Thapa in the domestic politics, according to the press statement. Thapa was the founding coordinator of Bibeksheel Sajha party and the founder of Bibeksheel party.
