Candidature for Bhaktapur NC president announced

Bhaktapur: Ashtakumar Kanwe has announced candidacy for the post of Nepali Congress Bhaktapur District Working Committee Chair. He announced his candidacy for the post of district president at a program organized on Saturday in the presence of former NC district presidents Mahesh Shrestha and Ganeshman Chakradhar.

On the occasion, the Kanwe he is standing in the election for the post of the NC district president to reestablish the Congress party as the number one party again. I will not run for the post of mayor, state assembly member or federal MP, he added.

On the occasion, former district presidents Shrestha and Chakradhar urged the current district presidents to abide by the agreement and cooperation reached at the 13th general convention. Former president of Nepal Tarun Dal Binod Kayastha, Congress district secretary Uddhav Silwal and others said that unity and cooperation was needed to strengthen the party.

Earlier, current NC district president Durlab Thapa had announced his candidature for the post as well.
