Party leaders and former PMs' convey their greetings for the Maghe Sankranti festival

Kathmandu: Former Prime Ministers Sher Bahadur Deuba, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', and Madhav Kumar Nepal have expressed their heartfelt wishes to all Nepali citizens in celebration of the Maghe Sankranti festival today.

In their individual messages, they conveyed hopes for peace, happiness, prosperity, and unity among Nepalis both domestically and internationally.

Sher Bahadur Deuba, former Prime Minister and President of the Nepali Congress, emphasized the festival's role in fostering mutual connections and unity amidst the diverse fabric of Nepali society.

Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who also serves as the Chair of the CPN (Maoist Centre), remarked on the festival's significance as a herald of the spring season, noting its religious, historical, cultural, and ecological importance in enhancing cooperation and goodwill among various communities.

Similarly, Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chair of the CPN (Unified Socialist), stated that cultural festivals play a crucial role in establishing the nation's identity through unity in diversity. He underscored the necessity for the State to actively preserve the traditions and cultures of all communities, advocating for collective efforts to safeguard these heritages.
