No One’s Intangible Interest is Acceptable in The Congress General Assembly :- Dr. Shekhar

Kathmandu: Evidence that Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba is bargaining for the country’s sovereignty with his presidency is slowly unfolding. The Nepali Congress, the country’s first party and the only democratic ideology in the country, is now roaming like a fish without water.

Deuba is considering his bravery in falling in love with Oli and postponing the party’s general convention. The Nepali Congress should have concluded its 14th General Assembly last year. Due to various reasons, the Congress General Assembly, which has been postponed till now, has to be held in August. But due to the delay of the current chairperson, the preparations for the party’s 14th general convention still seem to be moving at a slower pace than the tortoise.

Deuba is not even showing the party’s desire to hold ward, district and state level elections. Can it be believed that the chairman, who is not able to distribute the active membership of his party internally, will convene the party’s general assembly on time? The Nepali Congress (NC) has revealed that the secret of internal political preparations between Nepali Congress President Deuba and Prime Minister Oli has been revealed after incumbent Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli dumped some of its offspring in an all-party meeting convened by the Prime Minister in Baluwatar yesterday.

Deuba’s persistence in postponing the Congress General Assembly and the positive outlook of the Prime Minister on it is also confirming that both the Congress and UML presidents and chairpersons of Nepal want to stick to the party leadership level anyway. There is widespread protest in Nepali Congress circles on this issue. Influential leader of Nepali Congress and future president of Nepali Congress Dr. Shekhar Koirala Wrote In his message yesterday, he said that the intangible interests of any other party in the internal affairs of the Nepali Congress would not be acceptable.

He further wrote that it is unfortunate that in the all-party meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence, the issue of the General Assembly of the Opposition Congress Party was raised and the Prime Minister said that the Congress General Assembly could be postponed. The General Assembly will be held by the Congress Party. No one’s intangible interest is acceptable in this.
