Posta Bahadur Bogati Polytechnic School Comes Into Operation

29 Nov., Trishuli : ‘Posta Bahadur Bogati Polytechnic School’ under the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) established in Nuwakot district has come into operation formally. Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel on Saturday inaugurated the school amidst a function.

On the occasion, the Minister said the government had focused on technical education, which he said, could help prosper the country. The institution offers classes in three subjects—agronomy, livestock science and hotel and tourism–from this academic session. It has received permission to run classes in civil engineering from the next academic session and the process to acquire permission to run pharmacy classes is underway, it is shared.

On the occasion, members of the House of Representatives Hit Bahadur Tamang and Narayan Prasad Khatiwada, who represented Nuwakot, Deputy Speaker of Bagmati Province Radhika Tamang and Provincial Assembly member Badri Mainali pledged budget to run the institution.

A total of 120 seats under crop science, livestock science and hotel and tourism at the institution have been ensured, said the institution’s chief Pushpa Raj Pyakurel, adding that the CTEVT would provide full scholarship under the allotted quotas. Four seats along with scholarship for a student within Bidur Municipality have been allocated. Likewise, four seats have been ensured for students of Nuwakot district. The Local Infrastructure Development Partnership Programme has provided budget, while local Martyrs Foundation managed educational materials and furniture.

The institute established in memory of then CPN (Maoist) leader Posta Bahadur Bogati, also the then Minister for Energy, and Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, will run temporarily from the building of the Foundation, said Pyakurel. RSS
