Two arrested for alleged involvement in woman’s murder

12 Aug, Mahottari : The Mohottari Police have arrested two people for their alleged involvement in the killing of a woman on June 20. Dashai Thakur, 41, and Raj Kishore Giri, 36, of Gaushala municipality-2 have been arrested on the charge of murdering Anju Kumari Shrestha of Gaushala municipality-10 on the basis of an IMEI number of her mobile phone.
The two had been taken under control for their homes on Sunday and were presented before the media by Area Police Office Gaushala here this morning. Shrestha, an employee with the Nirdhan Utthan Bank based in Gaushala Bazar, was stabbed in the midnight of June 20 and died on the way to Janakpur for treatment. The killers also seized a mobile phone of Shrestha which had facilitated their arrest. The District Court Mohattari had already extended judicial custody of the arrestees by a week. rss
