Virtual Texas Musical Fest 2020 on the Occassion of “World Music Day”

22 June, Kathmandu : Texas College of Management & IT and Texas International College jointly organized “Virtual Texas Musical Fest 2020” on 21st June 2020 marking “World Music Day”.

Texas Continued legacy of celebrating music fest despite COVID-19 and its outbreak. The theme for the fest was ‘Music for Peace” as music seems to reduce depressive symptoms and, stress anxiety and supports as psychological therapy.

“We believe we connected young minds and hearts through this wonderful musical event. We had more than 10,000 views and program was reached to 30,000 + with above 2K Comments” director Narayan Pokhrel said.

Texas believed Music has power and energy to heal the body and soul that express what is difficult to articulate in words. The event was hosted using different virtual platforms like Microsoft teams, Zoom and Official Facebook of Texas College of Management and IT and Texas International College.

The fest weaved together renowned Nepali artists scattered throughout world from Nepal to UK. Artists who have triumphant in the field of different music genres like Modern, classical, rock, pop, folk, ethnic and newa music had connected in this virtual platform like Bhim Tuladhar, Rohit John Chettri, Yogeshwor Amatya, Deepak Bajracharya, Raja Rajendra Pokhrel, Kamal Khatri, Sunil Bardewa, Rajan Raj Siwakoti, PawanGiri, Ashish Gubaju and Dhruba Luitel.

Texas extensively made the event successful and heightened awareness regarding psychology and mental well being which is required at today’s context specially to the youngsters and students. Then fest is regarded as bigger and better than ever and first of its kind organized virtually as opined by College Management.
