Major Temple Fair Begins In Central China
19 Jan., Kathmandu : An influential temple fair has begun in central China’s Hunan Province. The annual “Fire God Palace Temple Fair” will last until Feb. 8, and will include commodity fairs, performances and parades, according to the organizer.
Authorities will also promote agricultural products from poverty-stricken residents to help with China’s anti-poverty campaign, which aims to lift the entire population out of poverty by the end of 2020.
The Fire God Palace is a tourist attraction in Changsha, capital of Hunan Province. In recent years, it has become a must-visit site for many, thanks to its delicacies and traditional culture. Since its debut in 2013, the temple fair has grown into one of the biggest in central and southern China. RSS/Xinhua
