Environment has created to convene parliamentary session : NCP Chair Dahal
7 May Kathmandu : Nepal Communist Party (NCP) chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has commented that an environment has been made to hold the parliamentary meeting in a confident manner.
Talking to journalists after inspecting the parliament building at New Baneswor prior to the monsoon (budget) session of the parliament and providing swab sample for COVID-19 test, he informed that the process of disinfecting the meeting hall has been complete.
Former Prime Minister Dahal said he found the preparation for the meeting was being done meticulously. “I also listened to the briefing of parliamentary secretariat regarding preparation for meeting operation”. Preparation is being made in such a way that the Prime Minister can participate in the meeting leaving two rows for maintaining social distancing, Dahal informed.
“We will call for a SC meeting within a couple of days” Dahal said in a different note, adding the standing committee meeting could not take place citing inadequate preparation. He further said that the meeting would be summoned after having consultation with NCP chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in the near future.
Meanwhile, some standing committee members of the NCP today held an informal discussion at the party headquarters Dhumbarahi on the agenda of standing committee meeting and other contemporary issues, it is said.
