COVID-19 : 27 news cases take the tally to 402

19 May Kathmandu : With 27 news cases confirmed today, the total number of people infected with Corona Virus climbs to 402 till date. The latest confirmation was of people from 13 different districts, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

Speaking at the regular press meet, MoHP Spokesperson Dr Bikash Devkota shared that the new confirmed cases included nine in Jhapa, four in Kapilvastu three in Kathmandu, two in Sarlahi, and one each in Morang, Sunsari, Makwanpur, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Sindhuli, Nawalparasi, Ramechhap and Lamjung.

This takes the infection of Corona Virus to 36 of the 77 district, covering all the States in the country. The new infections today included 24 men and three women.The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division has begun contact tracing of the newly infected, Dr Devkota said.

Meanwhile, one person recovered from COVID-19 and returned home from Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar today. This takes the total number of recovered cases in Nepal to 37.
