Covid-19: Number of Infected Reaches 584

23 May, Kathmandu : A total of 36 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed today, according to the latest information shared by the Ministry of Health and Population. With this, the number of people infected with coronavirus has reached 584 in the country.

Of them, 27 cases were confirmed at Narainapur in Banke district, the Ministry of Health and Population’s spokesperson Dr Bikas Devkota said at a regular press meet. Other cases confirmed are four in Baitadi, three in Surkhet, and one each in Jhapa and Bardiya districts.
It is said the new affected individuals are from Shivanath Rural Municipality in Baitadi district, Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality in Bardiya and Jhapa Rural Municipality in Jhapa district. Similarly, three new cases were confirmed during a test at Surkhet Hospital, the Ministry said.

According to the Ministry, so far the cases of coronavirus infection are from 40 districts across the country.  Dr Devkota shared that 86 cases were reported in State No. 1 while 172 in State No. 2 and 32 cases in Bagmati State. Likewise, Gandaki State reported five cases, 271 in State No. 5, four in Karnali State and 14 in Sudurpaschim State.RSS
