9 More Individuals Test Positive for Coronavirus

24 May, Kathmandu : A total of 19 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the country today. According to the spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Bikas Devkota, the new cases were seen in Kathmandu, Morang, Parsa, Rautahat, Nuwakot, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu and Gulmi districts. Spokesperson Dr Devkota shared this in a regular press briefing at the Ministry this afternoon.

According to him, the new infected are a 45-year-old man from Morang, 32-year-old man from Bara, 25-year-old man from Parsa, 34-year-old man from Parsa, 60-year-old man from Parsa, 32-year-old man from Rautahat, 48-year-old man from Sarlahi and men of 32, 40 and 50 years from Rupandehi, 69-year-old man from Kathmandu and 39-year-old man from Nuwakot.

Dr. Devkota shared that 87 infected people were discharged from the hospital after complete recovery from the virus till Sunday. He further said that 48,815 people were so far tested via PCR while 90,026 via RDT methods across the country.
