Rainfall forecast in most places of country until Saturday
5 June Kathmandu : Rainfall will take place in most parts of the country until Saturday, the Meteorological Forecasting Division has said.
This is due to the influence of the low pressure area formed after the weakening of the cyclone ‘Nisarga’ that has developed in the Arabian Sea, coupled with the impact of the local and the Westerly wind.
Meteorologist Samir Shrestha said rainfall will likely take place in most places of the country until Saturday as these three weather systems were active.
The weather is generally to completely cloudy throughout the country and moderate rainfall is taking place in State-1, State-2, Gandaki State and Bagmati State, and in most of the places of State-5 at present.
It will be completely cloudy in State-1, State-2, State-5, Bagmati State and Gandaki State in the afternoon today with chances of light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunder and lightning at most of the places of State-1, State-2, Bagmati and Gandaki State.
The Division stated that there is possibility of light to moderate rainfall together with thunder in some places of the State-1, State-2, Bagmati State, Gandaki State and State-5 on Saturday. Similarly, there are chances of light rain in the Gandaki State, Karnali State and State-5.
The weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country on Sunday with the likelihood of light rain at some places of State-1, Bagmati State, Gandaki State and Karnali State and at one or two places of the rest of the States, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.
