One More Dies of Covid-19 : 314 New Cases Spotted
8 June, Kathmandu : One more person died of coronavirus infection on Monday, the Spokesperson of Ministry of Health and Population said in a regular press briefing today. A man, 58, from Waling Municipality-3 in Syangja district died, Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam said. With this, the number of death caused by coronavirus infected has reached 14 in the country.
Likewise, Dr Gautam said that a total of 314 new cases including 20 women of coronavirus infection were confirmed during the tests carried out in different labs in the country today. So far, the number of coronavirus infected people reached 3,762. Of them, the number of women is 256.
Similarly, 21 people were discharged from the hospitals on Monday after recovering from the virus. It is said that 20 persons returned home from Sushil Koirala Cancer Hospital in Banke and one from Unified Hospital. All of those discharged persons are from Narainapur of Banke district and are 13 to 52 years of age. Until Monday, 488 persons recovered from the coronavirus infection in the country.
30 new cases of COVID-19 identified in Chitwan today
A total of 30 persons including two doctors and health workers have been found infected with COVID-19 in the district today. According to Bhartpur Hospital, these 30 new cases were confirmed in swab test of 310 people in the district. The newly infected people were staying in quarantines in Bharatpur Metropolitan city, Narayani Community Hospital, Nawalpur and BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital among other local quarantine centres. Of them, some had recently returned homes from India. Of them one who is undergoing treatment at ICU of Narayani Community Hospital is in critical condition.
