NCP standing committee meeting in progress

30 June Kathmandu : Standing Committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is now taking place at the official residence of the Prime Minister, Baluwater.

The meeting began from June 24 was postponed on June 28 due to birth anniversary of popular communist leader Madan Bhandari and June 29 due to National Paddy Day.

Earlier, 21 members had already expressed their views in a discussion on agenda of border encroachment and border-related issues while the remaining members would express their views today.

Similarly, discussions would be held on the state of infection, prevention, control and treatment of coronavirus in the meeting today and activities of the government and party would be discussed later.

The meeting has various agendas to review government’s activities and party’s activities, remaining task of party unification and MCC.

Likewise, heinous crime occurred in Soti of Rukum Paschim district, citizenship bill and allowances to federal lawmakers have been mentioned as miscellaneous topics of the agenda.
