Efforts underway for Oli-Dahal talks
2 July Kathmandu : Two chairmen of the ruling Nepal Communist Party, KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal, are likely to hold talks over recent differences between them regarding the leadership of the government and the party.
Of late, the two leaders are at odds, and Dahal has demanded that Oli resign from both positions of the party chairman and the PM. He has also garnered the support of a majority of the standing committee members. Consequently, Oli is believed to be pondering different options to get a solution.
The party’s scheduled standing committee meeting has been halted after briefly convening this afternoon also so that the two leaders can find time and environment for one-on-one talks, according to a standing committee member.
