Floods, landslides killed 85 in Nepal one month

Kathmandu : The government says floods and landslides across the country killed 85 persons and 46 went missing in the period of one month.

National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority says over 15 districts of the country were affected by landslides and floods between June 13 and today. These incidents injured 50 people and damaged 134 houses.

Myagdi has recorded the highest number of human fatalities where 28 people died, four were missing and 12 injured.

Jajarkot, Bajhang, Parvat, Kaski, Gulmi, Sindhupalchok, and Lamjung are other most affected districts. Most of the losses were reported in the past week.
