1,705 infected get over COVID-19 in 24 hours

Kathmandu : A total of 1,705 people have been discharged from health institutions after recovery from Corona Virus across the country in the past 24 hours. The figure is the highest so far, said Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population at a regular press conference here on Monday.

With this, the number of those who got over the infection so far has reached 10,294, which is 60.7 percent of the total COVID-19 infected people, said Gautam.  A total of 144 new cases have been added in the past 24 hours, taking the caseload to 16,945.

Of them, State 1 recorded six, State 2 forty one, Bagmati State 13, Gandaki State eight, State 5 fourteen, Karnali State 46 and Sudurpaschim State 16. The death toll from the infection has been 38 (State 1 has nil death, four in State 2, nine in Bagmati State, five in Gandaki State, 10 in State 5, four in Karnali State and six in Sudurpaschim State).

So far, 23,470 have been quarantined across the country and 6,613 kept in isolation, said Dr Gautam.
