Courts to remain closed on Thursday

16 Sept, Kathmandu : The Supreme Court has decided to close all courts on Thursday. An emergency plenary meeting of the apex court today decided to give a holiday in courts across the country to mourn the demise of former Chief Justice Anirudha Prasad Singh.

Expressing profound sorrow over the demise of Singh, the SC meeting today paid tributes to late Singh while extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members, said SC spokesperson Bhadrakali Pokharel. Singh had served as the Chief Justice for three years from 2013 to 2016 B.S.
